In Brussels, EuropaBio hosted a week-long exhibition, highlighting the role of biotech in delivering on the UN Sustainable Development Goals, which took on Place Luxembourg, in the heart of Europe’s capital. The opening of the exhibition was hosted by MEP Christofer Fjellner and was attended by policymakers, scientists, industry peers and a large number of students.
“Biotechnology is delivering solutions to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and European Biotech Week enables us to show and share this great potential with society and the local communities. Its great for us to see how this initiative is raising awareness and stimulating curiosity, especially amongst young people, about the benefits of biotech, innovation and science in general. We have a fantastic capacity for scientific excellence and innovation in the EU and we all have a role to play in maintaining and developing this“, said Joanna Dupont-Inglis, EuropaBio’s Secretary General.
A huge thank you to you all and do not forget to mark the dates of the next European Biotech Week edition, which will take place at the same time as Global Biotech Week:
