Fake news: Learning to recognize it to avoid it (Virtual)
Event date: 30 September
Information is one of the central themes of the contemporary world, just distinguishing true from fake new is increasingly difficult, and at the same time increasingly important. The network and social networks have made false news an increasingly frequent, dangerous phenomenon with a greater social impact than in the past. The recent experience limited to the Covid-19 emergency has shown us even more clearly that we need to acquire skills and tools to orient ourselves in the complicated world images, especially online. The webinar, through interactive activities and brainstorming moments, helps participants to become familiar with the news, especially with scientific news. The analysis of some examples of false news released during the Covid-19 emergency will provide participants with food for thought and will help them to learn how to recognize it.
